It has been said that life is a journey. It is a journey that can offer much joy and satisfaction as we experience work and leisure activities, or navigate through the relationships encountered on a daily and long-term basis, or observe the growth of a developing child in our lives, or expand our understanding of the surrounding world and/or increase our skills through training and educational programs, or plan for future possibilities, etc. However, we all know that life also presents its challenges that can interfere with the good feelings potentially available from living. These challenges can come from everyday living and our reaction to it and/or from the experiences we have encountered at other points in our life and their impact on us. We all seek or hope that we can find a way to be in touch with the joy and satisfaction available from life despite these challenges.
Crossroads Services was established as a private practice in 1992 by Dr. Steven German with a goal of helping individuals develop the knowledge, personal skills, awareness, and strategies needed to address the challenges facing them. A number of approaches, based on research in the field and ongoing training, are used to help individuals feel validated for who they are and obtain the personal information and know-how needed to help them get to where they want to be. This website has been developed to provide an introduction and overview of the practice for clients considering the services, and to offer information that may be helpful for clients and other visitors to the site.
